The Blue Mountains @ Katoomba
|
|
I've finally visited this much talk about mountain near Sydney. Though this was hubby 2nd time here, dulu lain sekarang lain With a couple of friends (altogether 14 of us incl kids), driving in 2 MPVs, we started the journey around 9 am heading to Katoomba.
Katoomba is the most visited town in the Blue Mountains. The distance between Katoomba and Sydney is around 103 km (approx. 2.5 hours drive).
The first spot that we stopped by was the Cliff Drive where we witnessed such a scenic mountain view! Memang cantikkkkk especially to see the white fluffy softy clouds, sungguh mesmerizing..

They say that a visit to the Blue Mountains would not be complete without viewing the spectacular Three Sisters at Echo Point. Memandangkan many claims that Three Sisters ni is the world famous and fascinating rock formations, maka beriya-iyalah kitorang ke sini. The verdict: Boleh tahan la..Cantik jugak! But tak dapek la pulak gambo mcm dlm postcards or magazines tu, apsal huh? Next time, maybe one should attempt to capture the views during sunset kot!

Haaa sini pun ada Hop On Hop Off ala-ala kat London gitu!
Ok lunch time, we ngap the pot luck = the complete set of nasi lemak + fried bihun + ayam gorengs + choc cake + juice drinks..Yummie! Masa tgh lapar, mmg suma benda sedap..

Centennial Park, Randwick
|
|
So we are both in Sydney now -- enjoying each passing moment of our lives together while accomplishing the main mission -- to struggle (konon ) and get done with 'the thing' in due time InshaAllah!! If (and only if) we do really need to prolong (they call it 'extend' hehe) the stay, it won't be for long, we think so, hopefully Amin..
Pixies are from our visit to the park. His fav spot to jog on weekends, while me just walk (and took those pixies of course!)
The park has a special place dedicated for rose beds. Can't wait for them to bloom, perhaps in summer

To Love and To Be Loved (Part I)
|
|
Alhamdulillah.. for we eventually materialized one of our biggest dreams together -- we tied the beautiful knot and signed the solemn contract between two hearts on that bright Saturday morning.
And Alhamdulillah..soon on that day too, the Saturday afternoon of December 29, 2007, we imparted our happiness with others on a golden green walimah at Dewan Sri Tebrau Johor Bahru.
A bouquet of thanks to our dearest family, relatives and friends from near and far for sharing the joy and happiness of this occasion!
Our grateful thanks for all the fervent du'as, unwavering supports and blessings.. We truly need those to traverse this journey, anticipicating the ups and downs together as husband and wife, InsyaAllah.
We humbly thank you too, for all the meaningful cards, gifts and tokens, we really appreciate your kindness and generosity!
THANK YOU TO ALL..
When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible. ~Nora Ephron, When Harry Met Sally

The E-Day
|
|
|
| Quote: | I love you not only for what you are
But for what I am when I'm with you
I love you not only for what you have made of yourself
But for what you are making of me
I love you for the part of me you bring out
I love you for passing over my foolish traits
That you cannot help but see
I love you for drawing out into the light of beauty
That no one else had looked far enough to find |
Among the many versions of "I Love You"
Elizabeth Barrett Browning 1806-1861.
Solemnly dedicated to him.
Thank you for loving me.

Seasons DO Change! Does your heart too?
|
|
| Quote: | Seasons Change
by Christine Francoeur
There's this particular moment in time
Which cannot be directly pointed out
By one finger, on one hand, though
Connected to us all, we know.
When twilight dances, and the moon
Harvests, and all is well even though
It is the season of death -
It only means life begins anew, soon.
Enough of these tears have been shed
To cover the land with lakes and streams
Now comes the winter's lace of ice and
Bitter cold - a period of waiting.
Soon she will show us her face
Come once again to shame the darkness
Exposing the lines underneath, which
Now seem foreign again.
And so, now we venture out
Into the new day's dawn
Heart in hand, hand in pocket
Experiencing things as if it were a first.
Children dance, and laugh and play
Their spirits spreading joy throughout
And the rain comes, and it washes clean
The smudges left by winter's touch.
And yet, you may not notice this
Though bitter, cold, and full of storm
The winter's tight blanket of white is
But a purifier - wiping each slate clean.
And so, you see, each dark shadow shows us
That within it's heart there is a gem
Covered with hatred, until the day
The cold winter's touch takes it away.
It may still leave a smudge for you
You may still gawk and laugh and cringe
But know this now, what's bad is not always
As bad as it might have been...

This poem masterpiece is simply beautiful and meaningful in a great deal.
Have tried to comprehend it, and read between the lines.
An honesty and directness that pierce like an arrow and cut like a razor.
All pixies were taken from my bedroom window.
Those were the lonesome days of the past - in the four walls called room.

The Border of Switzerland and Italy
|
|
Exactly around a year last year, we were here.
The memorable train trip from Interlaken Ost, Switzerland >> Spiez >> Faulensee >> Domodossola, Italy.
Indeed a spell of spectacular moment that could not, by any chance, be recorded if you were with any Touring Agent
Kalau sanggup susah payah ber'gamble' je akan dpt route ni! heheh
These are among my precious train shots + places around Interlaken vicinity!
Really worth it all! Alhamdulillah
For the so greattttt, fun, risk-takers, adventurous gurlz (u know who u are!), with the help of Him, we made it kan eventually, despite some hiccups here n there? Miss u all TOO much
*After all life is a gamble, dare to choose, in order to win! kan?
p.s: Maaf for those asking, we did not go with the Kelana Konvoy whatnot ye..
Verily, this is our own stint of self-discovery challenge that ultimately worth the troubles and toils, ups n downs more than anythg!
p.s II: All pixies in this entry are of Swiss, none are Italy's.
Subhanallah.

Up and Away :) - Killing the Bored-to-Death weekend
|
|
The latest me - kicking and alive, chubby and "healthy"!! haha
Random pixies of a one day trip climbing up Cameron Highlands.
Now that they have facilitated us with the new route (*all you need is just 1 hour drive - depends on the man-machine factor) to go up there, life is much more meaningful on weekends. Kudos!
And who says Cameron is for holiday-ing and romanticing?
We redefined Cameron then: went there just to lepak-ing a few hrs and off we drove down ..haha
On a more melancholic note:
Tata to Yana and Ju, may you find joy and happiness on that greener pastures of others' lands
You'll be missed sorely!!! Count on that dear sistas!
Credits: All pixies kind courtesy of Yana's cam, and Ju, thank you thank you thank you for everyyyyything...
